Liquid Blocker Super PAP Pen

The latest PAP Pen is still a superior hydrophobic liquid that creates a secure boundary on glass and plastic around a tissue specimen during IHC procedures.  The fluid flows as a light blue on the slide and easier to see than the original (clear) PAP pens.

The Liquid Blocker Super PAP Pen is a ready-to-use hydrophobic barrier pens is designed for immunohistochemistry applications. Draw a circle, square or any shape around the tissue sections with the pen and it provides barrier (surface tension ) ensuring only the amount of antibody solution needed is applied.

Since over-flooding of the slide is eliminated, wiping of excess fluid from around specimen can be avoided.  Saves time and avoids the risk of touching specimen for wiping.

Multiple specimens, can be separated by circles or lines applied to the same slide.  The pen contains a special formulation that is water repellent, insoluble in alcohol and acetone, and stable for a long time period.  It can be removed, if required by xylene after the staining procedure is completed if the chromogen is insoluble in solvents.

Stable up to 129 degrees C in microwave heat. This feature can be helpful in ISH procedures.

The PAP Pen is very effective for immunostaining procedures by the Peroxidase-Antiperoxidase (PAP) method, ABC method, B-SA Method , LSAB method, polymeric method, immunofluorescence method, ASD method, Enzyme method and Frozen Section method.

The Super PAP pen is also widely used with staining procedures in Neuroscience Labs, Histology, Cell Biology, Virology, Microbiology, Pathology, Cancer Research Centers and Micro-preparation of Cultured Cells for In Situ Reverse Transcription PCR.
