The Liquid Blocker Mini PAP Pen is a ready-to-use hydrophobic barrier pen designed for immunohistochemistry applications. Draw a circle, square or any shape around the tissue sections with the pen and it provides a thin film-like barrier (surface tension) ensuring only the amount of antibody solution needed is applied.
Since over-flooding of the slide is eliminated, wiping of excess fluid from around specimen can be avoided. Saves time and avoids the risk of touching specimen for wiping.
Multiple specimens, can be separated by circles or lines applied to the same slide. The pen contains a special formulation that is water repellent, insoluble in alcohol and acetone, and stable for a long time period. It can be removed, if required by xylene after the staining procedure is completed if the chromogen is insoluble in solvents.
Stable up to 120 degrees C in microwave heat. This feature can be helpful in ISH procedures.
