Manufactured in the UK, there are two models available - the Pi Hotplate has a large capacity for laboratories with a high throughput and the Pi Slimline Hotplate has been designed with a small footprint to take up the minimum amount of work surface.
Both models have been designed to sit at the back of the work bench enabling the user to have more space at the front to work.
They are available with optional removable rails offering versatility. The rails support slides and allow air to circulate underneath to help accelerate the drying process. Alternatively, slides can be placed directly onto the surface for removing stubborn wrinkles or re-orientating embedded tissue.
The casework of both models has been finished in a white epoxy coating which makes the units easy to clean. The temperature is variable and provides a low level thermostatically controlled hotplate. The touch panel digital control also offers a memory function so that the user can set the preferred temperature required at start-up and the heating system allows rapid warm up. The surface is finished in a matt black for visual contrast of sections and makes it easy to clean.
